As part of the Best Start Initiative, we are able to offer you a "Early Learning and Care Hub" which will be located within Brooke Central Elementary School.   Core programs and services offered in the Hub will include:

• Enhanced early identification and intervention programs (e.g. Pre-school Speech and Language, Infant Hearing and Screening, Healthy Babies, Healthy Children,)
• 18 month well baby check-up
• Public Health Programs, including postpartum/maternal depression assistance
• Nutrition programs (e.g. Breakfast Programs)
• Parenting programs
• Early learning opportunities (i.e. OEYC programs, literacy)
• A pre-school early learning program for children not yet eligible for JK
• Additional child care for children in JK and SK

The Brooke Alvinston Hub will also assist the community with the development of links to specialized services for children and families requiring additional support. The services offered within the Brooke Alvinston Hub will be available for all children and families in the communities, not just for the children attending Brooke Central Elementary School.

Lambton Rural Child Care has been chosen to operate the childcare and early learning programs for the community.   The childcare programs offered by Lambton Rural Child Care will enhance the single integrated seamless point of access to a wide range of core child programs to enhance the healthy early development.   Our programs will offer a minimum of 52 childcare spaces to the community.   The programs will offer childcare spaces for:

• Infants
• Toddlers
• Junior & Intermediate Preschool
• Early Learning Framework Program (ELF)
• School Age Children
• Before & After School Children
